Broward County - A Plantation accident involving three vehicles has injured a police officer and his dog. The accident happened on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, when an SUV struck Plantation police officer Curtis Hampton's car head-on. Hampton's car was then hit by a Toyota that was behind him. Hampton, a 25-year police veteran, suffered multiple fractures. His K-9, Rudi, is recovering. Police are investigating the cause of this multiple-vehicle accident.
